BREWING SCIENCE
Careers in the brewing sciences offer opportunities to develop new beers, create new brewing methods, and conduct laboratory testing for taste, stability, and appearance. Job duties often include quality control, distillation technology, brewery management, laboratory testing, food and beverage processing, applied biotechnology and product development.
PRODUCTION & ENGINEERING
You could find yourself focused on production and quality–maintaining plant safety standards, overseeing quality control, monitoring high-speed equipment, driving fork trucks, loading supplies, recording process data, performing minor equipment maintenance, and industrial cleaning and sanitization. On the engineering side, your focus would be on electrical and process engineering, operation of brewing facilities, finishing and packaging.
